i was lookin on d-series.org and found out that the d16y8 intake manifold will fit nicely onto our d16v1 and the d17a2 not too sure what it'll do for power tho (should be a lot better i think) but it will look great instead of the throtle body setup we have.

if you have any more knowledge than i have on this pls enlighten.

thnx chris

d17a2 has the same intake mainfold as d16v1. I don't think that d16y8 is a straight fit. Some extra holes need to be drilled into the d16y8 mainfold and some other stuff needs to be placed elsewhere, I think. Check the 7th gen civic forum. I think somebody has done it.

yes it will fit but is a LOT of work and £ for a poor return in BHP. maybe consider a new throttle body, horsepowerfreaks.com have a selection of TB's that will fit D, B, H, and K series engines, so you may be more worth while to fit a larger throttle body, (one off an F20c out of an S2000 maybe! there's an idea!). problem is most honda's have side-entry intake manifolds and ours is a downdraft which as you and i have noticed limits bolt-on's and tuning possibilities

Just had a look on this site... looks good, does anyone know off hand what size the throttle body is on the ep2? they do up to 70mm, what sort of power increase are we talking about with a product like this fitted ?

i think the stock size of the tb is 56mm.  with a nice intake system (cai & custom intake mani) probably +15hp when it remapped

Kadras: and the "operation" (to fit the stuff) cost you a lot?
Otherwise, i think oversizeing the throttle body is not a good idea, because the torque will go away.  70mm tb. . .  Grin if i got a fully built k20 its cool, but on a d16? i dont think so.
For example:B16a2 tb,got 60mm inside diameter for 160hp. .

Dont know exactly how much it cost, because it was necesary for turbo, because our manifold is from plastic, for manifold and throttle body I paid around 30 euros
