i wouldnt risk it mate, i can imagine a large amount of stress goes though them and any holes may crack and get bigger and bigger, eventually resulting in major damage.

HIDS4U, it was a group buy on CTRO, £270 but paid £160 on a group buy
Never had any problems with the kit, was easy to fit and felt high quality. Only thing, because I didn`t have projector lights, the light was scattered everywhere and offered no benefit over standard, just a different colour
Sold them after a couple of months as the Plod were beginning to take an interest, and HID kits are illegal in standard halogen headlamps

Did you just put your ballasts inside and covered them up ? I'm just wondering if you fastened them or did you just let them lay loose in there. If you did, wont they shake around in there when you drive over bumps and stuff... lol ? I'm thinking about fastening som magnetic tape to each ballast so they hopefully will stick to the metal and wont jump around in there. Or maybe velcro pads would be best ?

like Bobz said, i would take a picture and show you where i put mine but there hidden tomorrow when i can actually remember where i put them, i will direct you where mine are.. quite good actually as you can still play with the cables if needs be. ps, they was fastened down with the sticky pads that came with it just to keep it slightly in place!

the best place to mount your hid ballasts are inside the black plastic compartments either side of the bonnet. remove the 2 plastic screws in each one, remove cover, stick down ballast with some double-sided velcro tape or whatever, fit covers back on. wouldn't even know they were there

Just to let you know my car just sailed thru the M.O.T test no probs with my HID kit from hids4u. No mention what so ever, Only got an advisory about my sunstrip but they couldn't fail it because it's see thru. Same tint as my back windows. To be fair I did go for the 6000k 35w kit so it looks like it's fitted std. Also followed advice from John87 to mount the ballast behind the plastic covers on the wing so nothing shows as per prev posts. Oh yeah also no issues with my led number plate lights too. All good
