www.mayfieldfurniture.co.uk
AND
www.resistance77.com
(please be aware this site was made in a day and is not finished yet lol im still waiting for more information from them.)

both totally build and coded from scratch, not made with a crappy site builder that most hosting comapnies offer.

quite clean matey well done.

One thing though. On the band site's about us page......

You really should consider adding a margin around the text and change the text to lowercase. Text which is done in UPPERCASE is extremely difficult to read for any length of time. Our brains are trained to read lowercase and do it without much concentration. Text which is done completely in UPPERCASE requires alot more thought and usually bores the hell out of readers.

i like the evolutionice site Smiley

have you ever considered using mod_rewrite on that site, its helps search engine spiders flow through PHP sites quicker and easier.

i know the band site need mega work.
they did comment about the uppercase text. ill have to have a look at the stylesheet and make a quick change when i get time.

The new version of cubecart is almost ready for release and will have better SEO controls. I was looking at reworking things but it's not worth it until the new one is out.

Why doesnt ray go away for a few weeks, and make a site.

If the members like it we can just forward civic-ep2.co.uk to his new site. Seems very simple to me. Use the same forum but change the logo. Nothing to it.

Aye he`s collecting pics and how to`s etc at the moment, and creating new sections etc
He`s certainly enthusiastic, which is even more commendable, as he doesn`t even have a car   yet

we all want the site to be improved and Ray is definitely enthusiastic about it.
The difference for me personally is that he is always on MSN just like me, so we can chat about things in alot more depth
Like I said, I don`t care who does it, but the site badly needs a facelift
I don`t have a clue about web design, I just back up whoever talks to me about sorting it out
I`ll maybe get banned for this, but me and Ray aren`t the problem here, its an Admin who isn`t changing the website
If he did, Gav`s idea would have been in place by now, as it got a major thumbs up when it was posted on the forum, but it was basically ignored

all due respect nicky.....

its not your site and its not up to you to modify it. If halfloaf wants it to have a makeover then it's really up to him. Since he hasn't said anything about it i would guess he already has plans of his own

if thats the case then leave it be. It's halfloaf's baby and it's up to him what happens. If he needs any help or ideas on how to improve it, i am sure that he will be in touch with the people concerned.

ok mate, fair one. I guess I forget it`s halfloaf`s site, and I just figure it`s our site, as in all the members.
Apologies in advance to Halfloaf, I don`t mean you any disrespect, just wish the site was updated to appear as good as the many other car forums out there
