quick clay??

hey, i bought some meguiars quick and was unsure about 2 things.

1, whats the recommended amount of times this should be used in a year?
2, will i need to purchase wax or does this do the job?

You can do the clay test.  Wash you car and wipe down as usual.  Using your index finger, run it down the bonnet.  If it feels rough it needs claying.  But still if you never clayed the car (not matter how new it is) it still needs to be clay.  

Break the clay into 4 parts, possibly because to do each panel.  Spray a bit of the lube (liquid) onto the 1 part clay and roll into a sausage.  This gives the clay some heat so its easier to work with.  Spray the bonnet with the lube about 2-4 squirts and rub the clay (using your plam or the 4 tips of your fingers).  Run it across at least 10 times until the lub goes dry.  Do this only for 4-6 inch at a time on your panels.  Once you wipe it down, run your fingers across it and it should feel like glass!  

You only need to give your car a good clay 4-6 time max a year.  But if you never clayed it, your bottle will used up within the first time!  Never drop your clay.  If you do, throw it away and use the other sections.  if you dont, you will be picking up small stones with can scratch your paint work.

Yes you will need to purchase wax, the clay is just removing invisiable stains and shit off your paint work.  Once the car is clayed, then its time to apply the coat of wax.  

Most people who dont clay and just apply the wax is just wasting their time as the wax wears off much quicker and in effect just putting a layer of wax on top of the dirty surface area.

I used this on my car over the weekend, the results are in the gallary, its quiet hard to work off but if you got big guns your alright.

Some good advice up there! Personally for the money you pay for the NXT or Gold glass you can get better products...like Chemical guys etc
