Does the down pipe have to be removed for the MOT?

I say it has a decat on it, so am i right in thinking it would have to removed ever year for the MOT.

I have a manifold and a decat pipe installed, Great power gains depending on what you have done, mine is all custom and is 3'' bore, i also have a straight through sytem aswell.  The manifold will only give you real gains if you remove the cat, and you will only notice the gains of a decat if you have a straight through system.  I noticed about a 25bhp!!! increase with mine but i have had it custom made so i dont know if that will make much of a diffrence but you should hope to see 20bhp increase if you have the whole system changed.

I cant see you getting an extra 25bhp from a manifold, decat and exhaust, especially if you have fitted a 3" exhaust.  Undecided
A 3" system is about the right size for a turbo'd K20. Increasing the exhaust size pushes the optimum rev range higher and higher. You'd have to rev the car to 10,000 rpm's to make the most from a 3" system on an N/A D16...
A 2.25" - 2.5" system is plenty big enough for an EP2.

Can we see the Dyno printout?
