Its probably a good idea as you've also removed the air bags that are fitted into normal EP1/2 seats... better safe than sorry.

that's what I would say.

My girl got a car a few months ago, insured it.... all was good - then I was like yeah its got an air filter did you know? she didn't even know what that was. So ignorance may be the way forward.

Declairing certain mods I think is just silly as it should have no effect in compromising the safety of anyone else.

insurance comps only concered about how much they need to shell out incase of an accident.  ie your new wheels are a mod but if you dont claim if they are nicked or scuffed then technically they dont need to know.

dont forget to keep your old airfilter, just in case. . .

exhausts are funny as technically any new one you put on (whether it a £10 from halfords or £110 from Scorpion) is a mod.  the fact is that your car needs an exhaust, you just decided to get a nice phat one!

as for your chairs, it is better safe than sorry.  but if you crash your car your insurance will find anything to screw you over.

Remember the the old seats can quickly be put back in. Insurance companies take ages to inspect cars after a crash, leaving you plenty time to return it to standard.

p.s Insurance companies already over charge us anyway, don't give them the satisfaction of taking more of your hard earned cash.
