17" wheels dont always weigh alot depends where you get them from and to be honest you wont feel any performance difference at all either.

Before I say anything, I'm a car newbie especially when it comes to fixing them :D

However, I will give you this piece of advice that I once received from a few mechanics, I pass it to you because i thought about it and it makes sense.

The wider your wheels(tires) are the more your suspension has to work on uneven roads, so the more load it puts on your suspension and bushes. . . etc

I had the bushes on my front go after 38k miles.  I blame this mainly on the 205 and 17" wheels i had, on our bad UK roads.

Also, you might ask what size has to  do with it, if you're going for 17" wheels then you have less absorbsion between the road and the wheel, again the more work your suspension has to do.

I think you can get suspension that better accompanies bigger wheels.  But for sure, i would never again drop big wheels onto a stock car that previously had 15"'s without some modifications to the suspension.

I'll remain with my stock wheels :D

I dont know much about cars and im not disputing what you say, its probably true, but considering Honda did ship the Civic Sport with 17" Penta wheels as stock it probably doesnt make much difference in reagrds to wear or performance.

Has anyone got any websites/links to 17" wheels for ep2 preface lift - you know the normal 4 stud config.
