OK folks been quiet for too long!

This is why! I have been slowly building up a Custom Turbo Kit for my car.
As many of you will know I already have an E-Manage and custom intake and 4 into 1 full length manifold, Sport cat and full 2.5 inch exhaust.
I have found myself in the position where my car is now a weekend toy (minibus to work) so here goes 7psi to start and if I build bottom end 10psi plus in future.
My custom intake manifold is done, it just needs custom fuel rail to run.
I have type-r fuel pump and injectors.
GT28RS turbo
gt4 Chargecooler
Custom Chargecooler Radiator
Electric Chargecooler pump

5 New AutoGauge Gauges: Oil Pressure, Oil Temp, Water Temp, Boost Gauge and Air Fuel Gauge.
The first 3 under stereo and Boost and A/F on A-Pillar pod.

Turbo Oil and Water connectors, Sandwich plate and all sensors.

Forge Actuator and R-Spec Dump Valve.

Iridium IK22 spark plugs (got iridium already they rox)

OBX Downpipe Flange.

All Pipe and Turbo Manifold to be built by me in Stainless Steel.

Here are some pics.

Got my brothers VTI in the garage just now though, he killed it at Knockhill.
So I have the job of puting his new engine in.

NICE, respect to you for not deciding to buy a new car - I would be back and forth. Hope it all goes well.

It wasnt realy a hard decision, the only cars I've considered buying was a JDM Type-R EP3 or a JDM white Jazz VTEC to turbo.
So this is cheeper and its err... white  Roll Eyes

I was happy with my cars power after custom mani exhaust and high flow cat. Then my brother got a VTI and I decided I need about 200 to the wheels to be happy.(not asking for much IMO)

To tell the truth though I had just about given up on cheep forged internals for our car but there are new parts coming out all the time so fully built bottom end is on the cards for this year.
Also the BB turbo is a major improvement on the laggy t3's as I need a car that will go around corners  Shocked

Sounds like an interesting project. Hope it goes well for you.

Out of interest how did your brother kill his engine?

He took it to Knockhill and ran round the track for 3 hours. Shocked

Once I stripped the engine out number 3 piston was in little bit sized chunks.

All the chunks had nice clean new breaks except the piston pin which had a very old looking break in it.

Inspector Halfloaf CSI reckons engine was goosed! Roll Eyes

Hi,

Sounds bad on the VTI!!

You mentioned more parts for built engines are coming out- where are these coming from?  I would be very interested in getting Angel Works to do a built bottom end next year!!!  I know that Crower did do a fully built set for the D17, that would mean taking out the piston rings, fitting D17 ones and adjusting the head fit I think....

I have been watching for Pistons, rods and bearing etc still too expensive in my opinion.

loads of pistons available but it seems that the rods are the expensive bits.

as soon as some more come out Im getting bottom end built.
