I have had a problem for some time, but it seems to be getting worse. i have had Honda check it out, but ot no avail...

Whenever it rains and there is standing water, I am driving along at normal speeds and then the engine suddenly changes sound, sounding rough as, unless at idle. It affects performance, even when I have cleared the puddle/s. I have to switch of the engine or after driving some time, it clears up. I have checked to see if my Typhoon is sucking up water, but it is bone dry.

Any ideas as I am getting more worried....

Thanks

when you hit alot of standing water on the road the car will slow down and then once the roads are normal again it will be fine. happened to me a few thursdays ago, exhaust was getting cooled to quick and vibrating to f##k through my seat too. was wondering what the hell was up but it was only when there was ALOT of water on the road.

i also checked under the bonnet when i got home too but all was dry and well even with a vent in the bonnet.

no idea what it could be. does it happen all the time when it rains?

Has to be puddles on the road or standing water mate.

Exactly as you described above!

Anyone else get the same problem?
