where is the nose coming from? i seriously doubt it is a cv joint.  is it coming from the front or back? and do you have any mods? suspension, wheels etc? can you feel it having an effect or is it just noise?

in fairness JPS your guess is as good as any.  i would suggest that depending on your mileage etc it could need new bushes, if you do need to change them get it poly bushed :) sounds daft but have a look on some ramps if you can.  could be a broken anti-roll bar.  have you changed anythin on the car?

yeh suppose it could be anything .  Smiley
i just thought i'd add my 2 peniths worth after i lowered my car and the cv joint when  Roll Eyes
that had a knocking noise and was annoying to f*ck!!
just take it to the garage and ask them to look at it.. but take it to several and see if they all say the same thing  Cheesy

it could be the CV joint if the rubber boot has split. .  I had this problem before, but I think it did it in a straight line too.
sounds more like the wheel bearing to Me.  if You get a knock/knock/knock sound only when turning right, it could be the extra strain on the bearing when cornering.
You could jack up that wheel and rock it top and bottom, then side to side, to see if there's any play in it.
if not, maybe check the left one, but if the noise seems to be coming from the right, it's probably the right one.
I think I read on here that the bearings are expensive, so that's not good :(

this may sound daft, but check the wheel nuts too.  I had some thieving git try to nick My wheels (they must have got disturbed in the process of trying to take one of My wheels off, and left them just finger tight.

You could take the car to somewhere like Kwik-fit, who will maybe check the car for free.  You could always enquire about a price, without committing Yourself.
consider getting a second opinion if it is the bearing. .  I think You gotta change both bearings on the same axle, at the same time.

I`m not a mechanic, just thought I'd offer My opinion if it might help You :)
