had my mot done on the 28th last month on my '05 civic ep2 and it failed on the paseenger rear bearing, wanted to charge £260.67 for parts an labour, asked the guy to break down the price and wanted to charge £189.70 just for the bearing!!! lol. So used my mates contacts and havin it done for cheaper else where!!! originaly bought a newer car so it didnt have to pay for things like this but thats cars for ya! only got 29.5k miles on the clock lol, gutd!

thinking of buying an RX-7 now........for practicality obviously lol

Yup dealers are always rip offs I reckon! I guess you are paying for the fact they are specialised in dealing with your car. Peace of mind and what not.

I got a wheel bearing for my last civic (ek) for 20 quid from a motor factors  this is a rip and a half! not that difficult a job to do if you have the right tools

well, the place i went to in the end found out that for some reson the bearings for the ep2 are stupidly expenssive, they had to buy the bearin for around £190 same price what honda and a jap car place near me were asking for. just prey your bearings dont go on your ep2, aint gona be cheap to get done seriously thinking of gettin an rx-7 now, all depends what flux can offer me??? £230 its costin me in total.....gutted! lol

My Wife took Her "02" Sport  to Honda for a service and M. o. t.
They told Her it had passed the M. O. T, but the front discs were scored and would need skimming at a cost of £300!
when She told Me, I was gobsmacked, so I went on Ebay and got a brand new pair of vented discs and brake pads for £80, and fitted them Myself.
makes Me wonder how many people just pay the money and let them get on with it though.
