Finally sold my Civic today! Was really getting tired of it and a few niggles and issues really did persuade me to get a new car!

Nipped down to the Volvo dealer and was looking at the C30. Loved it sooo much! Its only the 1.6 version but it really is a comfortable car to drive and i really loved the look of it interior/exterior wise! Put a deposit down on a white pre registered one. Finance deals are extremely reasonable!

Will post pics as soon as i get it Smiley

Just wanted a more comfortable car...and the Ep was having niggly little problems which i really couldnt be bothering with (my 2002 is approaching nearly 90,000 miles!) Always liked the look of these and for a 21 year old, I would say its a very good car

Just a little update....

Decided not to go for a C30...instead i picked up a brand new Renault Megane Coupe!! All i can say is what a car, french build quality certainly has went up and i got offered a cracking finance package! Already caught the modding bug Wink keep posted for updates.

Heres a pic of her. What a fantastic car! Different car to the Ep1, really is comfortable and nippy when you put the pedal to the floor Grin

jackpaulsmith - Thanks alot mate! Really do love it. Of course im missing the EP but it just wasnt practical keeping it due to the high mileage (was approaching 100,000 miles! When i bought it, it only had 40,000) One of the first things im getting done is the lower part of the back bumper painted in white and get the side sills colour coded or possibly removed. The car already has dark windows but im thinking of getting a light smoke on the front side windows (not sure of what this may look like). Im in touch with K-tec (leading renault tuners) and they have told me that they are developing a number of parts for the new megane coupe and should be released at the end of this year, failing that early 2010...So looking forward to that! The renaultsport version of this car hasnt been released but im loving the black alloys it has so may invest in these as an aftermarket part. loving the idea of a centre oval exhaust too! Looking to keep it OEM but wanting it to stand out. Would love some opinions

EternalCivic - thanks mate! the c30 was a lovely car too, but im soo glad i never purchased one. I think over the two, this is the better car with a better spec.

Looks like im gonna need a new front grille Sad

Driving back from Edinburgh and a bloody pheasant decides to fly right in front of my car! Resulting in one dead pheasant and a buckled grille (clips broken) with feathers sticking out of it.

Looks like im gonna have to make a trip down to the renault dealer tomorrow...interested to see how much a black piece of slatted plastic is gonna cost

The lower grille was just over £110 mate. Gutted as its only a piece of plastic but its a good looking car and didnt want to run it without one or do the cost cutting mesh method haha.

Since my last post, I have had the rear lower bumper and side mouldings sprayed the same colour of the car. K tec renault are still developing items for the Renault Megane so its just a wait (should be within the next few months). Looking to get a central oval exhaust with a cutout in the rear bumper (just like the new Leon Cupra). Also wanting the renaultsport version alloys in gloss back and maybe the front bumper off the renault sport model (with the gloss black inserts). Lowering will obviously be on the cards. Just waiting for the products to become available Sad I have the money from my Civic sale waiting ha!

I looked at the Civic but as unique as it is, everyone around my area has one. Plus I fancied a completely different car. Im sure for the price im paying for this, I could have got one of the higher priced Civics but i think the megane a nicer car Smiley
