Hi,

Might be a good idea to arrange a meet at santa pod next year (2010) for all the ep2's to have a go up the 1/4 mile strip, i took mine along this year but had a poor 17. 8 sec time although it was a v hot day and the strip quite slippy, a type R did it in around 16 sec (road tests claim around 15. 2 sec) so if you knock 0. 8 sec off my time it's a more respectable 17 sec, any consolation I did beat an 05 corsa 1. 4 sri in the other lane (18. 5), on the 09 RWYB league tables a 1. 8 new shape civic did it in just over 17 sec.

I will def be visiting the pod at least once this year, I have received the 2010 RWYB events calendar in the post, but you can get all the dates etc from their website, most seem to be on Saturdays.

Normal RWYB (run what you brung) events is £10 adm and £25 for unlimited runs up the strip with a print out of your time and speed for each run, you get to see a lot of bike action too as it's open to all, but at the Jap show it will be just Jap cars running.

It's a good day out for a tenner even if you don't take your car along the strip, best to get there early if you intend to have a go as it gets quite busy, you will also need to bring your driving licence along to register first

The Jap show on Sun 4th july is £15 adm (£12 if booked in advance from www.santapod.co.uk) and £20 for 4 runs up the strip.

There is a grandstand seating area where you can see close up action off the start line and a grass banking area on the other side, there is also a big digital time/speed board at the end of the 1/4 mile that you can see too.

At special events (not RWYB) there is also drifting, auto tests, club stands, even a DJ marque (Sat night) and pole dancers!

Aye, should be a good day, for some events they do overnight camping, It takes me about an hour and a half to get there from Wolverhampton, not sure what i have planned for the 4th July at the Mo, there are some small santa pod sign posts with pointing arrows along the way but there is a couple of tricky turns, one is a slip road on the left off the A45 just past Wellingborough thats easy to go past
