Welcome!

Glad you have chosen an ep2, you will find they are great cars, reliable, stylish, good std spec, handle well, nippy v-tec engine and fuel/ins friendly too.

I have an 05 Civic Sport in blue (they are just called the Sport model as the type S is the 2.0lt 160ps 5 dr version)

There are quite a few modifications you can do, it depends whether you are looking at performance or styling mods or both.

You can get a red H badge for the front grill, type R style rear spoiler, diff alloys (personally I'm happy as it is, i just wanted some extra poke and the front fog lights) main dealer charges a lot for them but i got mine off ebay. Most of us have put performance exhausts/manifolds and either an induction kit or replacement perf panel air filter on, i got a Scorpion back box for around £200, a manifold for £90, iridium spark plugs for £30, a perf panel air filter can be had for around £40 and you are looking at upwards of £80 for an ind kit.

Try browsing on ebay and check out some older postings on this site for idea's

Check out the HID posting under Misc

Seems a good price for the full race manifold de-cat, fine if you intend doing a lot of track racing but you won't pass the MOT emissions with a de-cat, personally I would just get the manifold and a cat back exhaust system.

Scroll down this link for the manifold i brought for mine £79.99 inc P&P, correction £78.99

I had the manifold, Scorpion back box, pipercross panel air filter and Iridium plugs all fitted around the same time and took it for a dyno and got 118 bhp and 120 lb ft torque, then I replaced the panel filter with a pipercross viper ind kit and got 128 bhp and 126 lb ft torque, check out my dyno graphs under dyno results posting, they all combine to work together, the bloke who did the dyno did say that the manifold is the best addition for improving torque, if you are thinking of getting the manifold then i would suggest improving the air flow and exhaust too.

No, the manifold hasn't made it much louder, I only hear a bit of induction roar on full throttle from my ind kit and a sporty rasp from the exhaust, I didn't want a loud boyracer sounding exhaust to do my head in on the motorway, Scorpion and Magnex do a good cat back exhaust system, although Scorpion only seem to do an oval design tailpipe whereas Magnex do oval, single round and twin round design's, I did notice a better response when I replaced my std plugs for NGK Iridium for a small cost of £30 (you can get them from ebay shops)
