Intake and exhaust combo

Hi i'm new to the forum, joined up for some advise and to maybe get some cheap parts 

i have a 53 plate red ep2 facelift with the type r spoiler, other than that is currently standard due to cost of mods

now i been looking at the above and i know i will get told to go for the viper one however its more than i can afford at the moment.

firstly has anyone bought this one and if so thoughts opinions, did you notice a difference in power gain etc

secondly will i see a difference in power gain with the standard exhaust or will i need something better in which case again the below

I bought this induction kit and also fitted a cold air feed and with just the induction YES i felt gain straight away !
Definetly worth it !!

I have got a viper fitted, but before that I just had a pipercross panel filter fitted and i noticed a diff straight away at higher revs with that compared to the std one, so yes you will notice a diff with an ind kit, the one you have in mind seems good but get the cold air feed like Deco, especially if you are thinking about a perf manifold, I have this one fitted on mine which can be brought for under £80, suggest getting the ind kit you mentioned first, then add manifold next, then cat back exhaust when you can afford it for best sound and perf gains.

How much a difference did you feel after fitting the manifold and is it easy to fit ??

I got a local garage to fit the manifold, think he charged me about £20-£25, I remember he said the bolts were quite tight to remove from the original manifold though.

It seems a good value perf mod for the money, should combine well with your ind kit, it did with mine as i pretty much had the manifold, exhaust back box, plugs and panel filter all fitted around the same time, took it for dyno and got 118bhp, 120 lbft torque then i got the Viper ind kit later and saw power rise to 128bhp, 126lbft torque, the manifold certainly contributes to a good flat torque curve.

Bought it saturday night and recived it today EXELLENNTTT !!!

Great, hope you like it, it cetainly seems a good value perf mod for the money, I know you said you have got a pipercross ind kit with cold air feed and will soon have this manifold fitted but have you got a perf exhaust fitted too?

I also changed my std spark plugs to Iridium and did notice that it seems to run better with them in, just to keep my engine in peak condition i put a bottle of forte gas treatment in the tank once a year to clean any deposits from injectors etc and I have put a bottle of molyslip in the oil to reduce friction, both of them around a tenner each off ebay.

Yeah, let us know how you get on and see if you can get a dyno done and upload a dyno graph and engine pic.

Ps i did do my dyno run using normal 95 Ron unleaded as that is what i use most of the time, i do put an occasional tank of super unleaded in but it's over 10p a Lt more.

hey where did you get your front fog lights fitted btw?

Also if i just got a induction kit and manifold. . .  will that increase power etc as i like the sound of the std exhaust. . .  dnt wanna change to a loud boy racer one. .  any ideas if i would have to change the exhaust for the other mods to seem a good mod?

brought the front fog lights off ebay (genuine oem honda parts) got the same local garage who fitted my manifold to fit them, seem to recall i paid £168 inc P&P for them.

I didn't want a loud boyracer type exhaust either so got myself a Scorpion one, the Magnex system not too loud either.

Best to get a cold air feed ind kit, when combined with the manifold and exhaust mods it will give a reasonable power increase and improve the throttle response, sound and the general driveability
