Hi all,

Just a quick question for anyone that owns an 3 door S model (other models may be relevant but not sure).
When using the central locking I get no indication (other than the noise of the doors locking) that the car is locked/unlocked.
Should the indicators flash or something and I therefore have a problem, or is this the case with all S models (or any others)?

If its the case that there is simply no indication, then has anyone modded their car to solve this annoying issue?

Many Thanks!

on my SE Sport when unlocking the indicators flash once but when locking in the indicators flash 3 times, this also happens when I double deadlock it Smiley

Thanks for the reply.
Obviously this could be a difference in model, so please if someone has the same model S (not Sport) could they let me know?

Thanks in advance

lol Good question! But yes they do.
I'll have to check the schematic diagrams in the back of my Haynes manual to find how the indicators are linked to the central locking system.

UPDATE: Turns out its not actually a fault.

After some in-depth reading of the manual, it seems that the indicators will only flash if you have a "security system" installed.
Seems kinda silly to me - surely you'd want to know your car was locked whether you have a security system or not. Huh
As well as the indicators, those of you with security systems will also see a red light flashing below the instrument panel.

So that's that little mystery solved.
I'm going to have a look over the schematic diagrams to see if there's a way to make the indicators flash anyway.
If anyone else is unlucky enough to be without one of these "security systems", I will post back any positive results.

Thanks to anyone that tried to help Wink
