Dashboard backlight

A couple of days ago, I was driving back from a friends house at night, put the lights on as usual. .  but on the dashboard. .  from about 80mph onwards, e. g.  the right hand side of the speedometer. .  the backlight seems to have become very dim. .  Just wondered if anyone else has had this happen to them, and how easy is to fix it?

No one had this problem then im guessing. . .
