why to you all try to make your CTS look like CTR

This is just a thing that I just thought about.

You are most of you trying to buy CTR alloys, CTR spoiler ,...

I think when I made my choice of having a CTS it was on purpose and I am glad to have a different car tat all CTR users. Our engine is great and ok we all want more power and we all want an aggressive look but I think transforming our Sport to a Type R is just without sense.

This is just my point of view Maybe it is your idea to have buyed a CTS and to make it a CTR

Hope this will open a speech and not a fight ;-)

I dont try to make my Civic look like a civic type-r, i dont have red badges and the like, i have a CTR spoiler but thats because i believe it is the spoiler that follows the cars lines and style the best!

Well as for spoilers........there arent many other options to standard ones which we can get.......so, it has to be a replica of the CTR.

Alloys........there are hardly any CTR alloys on here which people have put on.

Red Badges........fair enough....maybe is the CTR look, but thats fair play to the guys who do it.

Body Kits.........they are about the same for the CTR as the CTS......so, what else can we do??

Me either , i have no intention of turning my car into a ctr look a like.

Forget the fact that the Civic Sport already has the same bodykit as the ctr anyway.

I dont want my look like a CTR. I just want it to look beasty. Gonna change my grill soon to a mugen style soon so thats not a CTR style aswell.

But a mugen grill fits on the CTR as well......but.......we cant help that can we  :lol:  The bodys are just about identical!!

mine looks like one but not purpously, it still says sport on it no badges, the red 'h' is a symbol of racing heratage, and as for my wheels well i got them on the cheap :wink:  and they are a damn site better than the oem ones.but these are being changed anyway.

i think anything that we do to our cars people will always say that we trying to copy a CTR as thats the higher spec car, but its not always like that.even when we modify our cars they look like modified type r's thats because they are the same shell! so we will never get away from criticism

f##k me i better take everything off my car so it doesn't look like a ctr :lol:

ffs the sport looks nearly identical to the CTR anyway apart from the spoiler and a few badges, if people want to put the CTR spoiler on their civic sport then 99% of the time its because it improves the looks of the car and finishes it off nicely no cos they want to make it look like the type R.
I do have the type R wheels but mine are white and how many CTRs have white wheels? not many.
At the end of the day i brought them cos i love the look of them and i wanted my car to stand out, and they were cheap.
If i wanted to make it look like a type R then surely i'd put type R badges all over it wouldn't i?
I don't have a problem with people doing any of the above but i do draw the line at putting type R badges on a Sport.

and the civic sport isn't shortened to CTS as this would refer to the civic type s, if you want to shorten civic sport and it would be CS no CTS. :?
