Cheesy

Firstly thanks for the great info on the site, I recently purchased my 02 Civic SE sport (I still dont know what the different models mean) and am really pleased with it (well what do you expect - i used to drive a 1.2 corsa!)

A small question, when driving 'aggresivly' the engine does not want to 'let go' of 1st and 2nd when changing gear, is this normal as gear changed are quite lumpy? Any one else have this problem?

Cheers in advance ;o)

PS. Site admin - update the main pages where it says "Copyright © 2000 [Your company name]" - It looks like its a dead site  :?

Hi Zak

Welcome to the new forum.

I have had similar problem with gear changes. I'm not sure wether it is the cable gear mechanism or if it is the soft engine mounts our cars have.
I know that when I put silicon in the engine mounts the gear change was better.

I plan to move all the info on the main site onto the forum and this will then replace the main site altogether. I have found it hard to get time to update the main site but the forum is much easier as I can update it from any pc.

Its quite strange how its usually only first and second gear - it puts my mind at rest though since mine isnt faulty!

Still havent gotten fully used to mine yet though, reverse is sometime a small 'problem' but im guessing its me

overall im really pleased with it, i love the extras little touches I keep finding - like auto rear window wiper whilst reversing if the front ones are on!!!

After searching high and low for the VTEC cut in points i found them by chance.... but im not telling how... im suprise the 3rd stage is as high as 5500 though!

I'm really not sure about the VTEC engagement points anymore.
My VTEC light comes on at 2800RPM and there is only one solenoid on top of the engine and 3 Stage needs 2 solenoids.

First gear is awful i hate starting off in first, second is a nice rev limter gear and third can rev this far aswell limiter quite a few times   Fourth is weak and fifth is well fifth  Cheesy

The vtec engages im sure just after 3.5k revs as this is where my car wakes up, but anything below 3k revs and my car may aswell be off. Im not quite sure what the ep2 was built for?? Its not great round town but boy does it revv.

Talking of gears, I totally agree with your comments about the gears ratios - and oh yeah.. she revs alright!  Cool

I think the VTEC is a 3 stage on mine though, I only noticed it after driving it quite hard with the air con on full (which i normally never do!)
The Engine juddered after about 3.5 and again about 5-5.5k.... of course it might be that my engines fooked!!!

HalfLoaf: I gotta get myself a VTEC light!

Room displays a series of even more provocative free association aptly titled (ArtistShare.com) with pianist Geoffrey Keezer. Brimming with spiky dissonance and the inside-the-piano gestures Keezer, nike air max, and marked by the abstraction of intensive coasting along, meeting with former Jazz Messenger and Ray Brown sideman is a wild ride for both artists. "Geoff is a great player? Said Hall." Musician is a very progressive and very open. I think it was 18 when he played with Blakey band, so it has that feeling of incredible time, air max, where he obtained from this whole experience Messengers. It does not use any effects or synthesizers when we play together, cheap air max, but he finds these things on the piano. He plays inside the piano and he will prepare some of each? Ties so that they sound different. It gets really creative. "
