My congrats to you with your new Ep! But I do wonder why you say you love the v-tec? Its like economy v-tec, you hardly even notice it coming on... A nicely tuned b16a however, or a b18 itr----thats v-tec

Example

I am planning to get it tuned with e-manage. But I don't know if there is much to be gained. I only have Injen cai, strupp shorty header, decat pipe, and axle back exhaust... mid pipe coming. You see with these slight mods it will be better tuned, but I don't expect large gains in horsepower! If I gain 5 to 10 hp I'll be glad. Also probably goin with an underdrive crank pulley, and a power steering pulley(lighter), than a light flywheel, clutch and maybe if I can raise the money, a crower stage 2 n/a cam and valvetrain upgraid(retainer springs), with a timeable cam gear!
You see I have the problem when I go past 6000rpm I get a raspy tone and the car doesn't really pull...feels like its running lean up top but guess I'm probably wrong

more likely its cos your engine probably makes top bhp at about 5.5k revs, you dont want to run it all the way to redline, theres no point,  just up to max power mark. mine makes top power at about 5.5-5.7k Only time i run mine higher is at the top of 5th when its topping out

do these make much of a difference to mpg's, i had a big enclosed kit on my clio and might as well have stabbed the petrol tank with a screwdriver, it'd have been cheaper

have not fitted mine yet so don't know on the fuel eco, but like any performance mod it will always effect fuel eco. wouldn't of thought it would use that much fuel but then that depends on how often you thrash your car.
