From what I've seen on the dyno our cars run rich after 5500RPM
Ive noticed a big difference after leaning the fuel off a bit up there.
My latest intake pipe with a resonator sized for 6000RPM gives a bit more lift there. Still would run rich though without the E-Manage but dont have to drop the fuel as much.
With the E-Manage, doing Data Logging to get the STFT (Short Term fuel Trim) as close to 0 as possible helps over 5500RPM a lot. I think it is because with filters and stuff that add extra air to the system our cars run very lean in the mid to low range this adds fuel via the STFT and LTFT. When I first got my E-Manage my LTFT was 12, this was adding a lot of fuel to my fuel maps across the board. My top end 5500 RPM was getting so much fuel it was triggering an O2 sensor over voltage error.
After adding fuel from idle up to 5500RPM and taking out a little bit of fuel over that my LTFT is sitting pretty good at 2 to 3.

BTW: Previously I had a resonator pipe that was sized for 4500RPM it gave great midrange pull and sounded amazing but it was also sending the STFT sky high when at idle or in heavy traffic sometimes over 20. This was making the LTFT(LTFT is an average of STFT readings) rise causing the top end to richen a lot.

I am planning to get it tuned with e-manage. But I don't know if there is much to be gained. I only have Injen cai, strupp shorty header, decat pipe, and axle back exhaust... mid pipe coming. You see with these slight mods it will be better tuned, but I don't expect large gains in horsepower! If I gain 5 to 10 hp I'll be glad. Also probably goin with an underdrive crank pulley, and a power steering pulley(lighter), than a light flywheel, clutch and maybe if I can raise the money, a crower stage 2 n/a cam and valvetrain upgraid(retainer springs), with a timeable cam gear!
You see I have the problem when I go past 6000rpm I get a raspy tone and the car doesn't really pull...feels like its running lean up top but guess I'm probably wrong

more likely its cos your engine probably makes top bhp at about 5.5k revs, you dont want to run it all the way to redline, theres no point,  just up to max power mark. mine makes top power at about 5.5-5.7k Only time i run mine higher is at the top of 5th when its topping out

Yep peak power comes in at 5.5k then it vastly drops off and keeping it that high is pointless, if you shifted gear sooner you would go faster as your loosing power and speed in the redline on this engine.
