i have never heard of this problem but it wud b great 2 no if this is a myth or not.

some time ago I was told that it is not advised to replace only the springs (for e. g.  Eibach), because the standard shocks are adjusted to the longer (original) springs and the whole procedure would effect badly the shocks.  Now is it true or not???

lowering springs dont have much of an effect on facelift models as they've already been lowered. the claimed 30-40mm drop is mainly for prefacelift. u may get a slightly lower drop with the new springs, but not enough to cause a dramatic noticeable difference. i kno the Tein ones have no effect on facelift car's heights - although i dont kno if they improve handling.

i got 30mm eibach springs fitted on my facelift ep2 on saturday.
they havnt really dropped the car by a lot, not the full 30mm ne way 
it has stiffened up the suspension though, reducing wot body roll it had to 0 bady roll, even sticking it in 2 a sharp corner. very happy on that aspect, but because of the ride height situation i am considering even lower springs, may b 50-60mm.
allcomments wud b appreciated on ppl who have fitted 50-60mm springs on there ep2.

if u wanna go that low ur gonna need new shocks as the existing ones wont take to the new springs too kindly. you're better off with coilovers mate. easier to fit too.

i wud love 2 go wiv a nice shiny new set of colilovers but im skint 
they r certainly on the wish list though lol.
will standard shocks handle my 300mm eibach springs.

Coilovers r the beta option if you want to lower ur car n a massive gain on ur handling... Ive had mine 4 under 2weeks nw, Ok let me explain... Having ur car riding on coilovers can be a pain in the arse because the ride is much harder therefore wen u r goin ova bumps u hav to b very careful! BUT its nufin lik people say, "too hard 4 road use" n "back breaking" etc etc, if ur gona b a t**t n thrash ur car ova bumps n stuf, of course its gona feel sh**

I must say, ive gt some k-sport with the dampers set to medium, im havin a time of my life especially rnd bends n rndabouts!
Trust me, its worth saving up and gtin urself a set!

best avoided mate. they're not progrssively wound springs so that entails all of the problems associated with them. and if you go all out and lower your car with these by a large amount on factory shocks, they're either gonna hit the bump-stops or be very close to it and they're goin to be fecked within i'd imagine a few months.

its like getting coilovers, but taking out the specially designed shock and sticking the factory one in. i'd go for lowering springs of a reputable make (i.e eibach, tein, etc) any day before these things!
